The Mold Detox diet limits beans and legumes like white beans because dried, stored beans can carry mold and mycotoxins, but the modest, well-rinsed and cooked serving here (about 1/2 cup or less per serving) is likely tolerated by many. If you prefer to always avoid white beans, please tap it and change its rating to Red.

Dried black pepper can sometimes contain mold toxins, but the trace amount used here is so small that it is likely tolerated by many. When possible, use a recently purchased organic spice and store it tightly closed in a cool, dry place. If you prefer to always avoid black pepper, please tap it and change its rating to Red.

Dried red pepper flakes can sometimes contain mold toxins, but the small amount in this recipe—about a pinch per serving—is likely tolerated by many. When possible, use a recently purchased organic spice and store it tightly closed in a cool, dry place. If you prefer to always avoid red pepper flakes, please tap it and change its rating to Red.

Halve the mini sweet peppers lengthwise and remove the seeds and any white ribs. Arrange them cut-side up on a large serving platter or sheet pan.
Add the drained white beans and scooped avocado to a medium mixing bowl. Use a fork or potato masher to mash them together until mostly smooth with some texture remaining — the mixture should hold its shape when spooned but not be completely pureed.
