Bright, fizzy, and deeply refreshing, this sparkling cooler is built around a homemade raspberry-lemon syrup that does all the heavy lifting. Simmering fresh raspberries with maple syrup, water, and lemon zest draws out every bit of fruity flavor before the mixture is strained smooth and chilled — no store-bought concentrates or mystery additives in sight. That matters a lot when raw fruits can sometimes trigger tingling or irritation, because cooking the raspberries down thoroughly transforms them into something your system is far more likely to tolerate without issue. Fresh lemon juice joins the syrup in the pitcher, and then chilled sparkling water goes in with a gentle stir to keep things beautifully bubbly. The result is a rosy, effervescent drink that tastes like something from a fancy café but comes together with just a handful of clean, whole ingredients. Serve it over ice with a lemon slice and a single raspberry on the rim, and it looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, water, and lemon zest in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries gently with the back of a spoon, until the berries have broken down and the syrup is slightly thickened, about 8–10 minutes.
Pour the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a heatproof bowl or measuring cup, pressing the solids firmly to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids. Let the strained syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until fully chilled, at least 30 minutes.
