Bright, fizzy, and bursting with real fruit flavor, this chilled sparkling cooler is the kind of drink that makes any afternoon feel like a celebration. The homemade raspberry-lemon syrup is the star — fresh raspberries and lemon zest are simmered with maple syrup until the mixture thickens into something deeply fragrant and naturally sweet. Because every ingredient here is whole and unprocessed, you never have to second-guess what's actually in your glass the way you might with store-bought sodas or flavored sparkling drinks, which can sneak in unexpected additives. Straining the syrup gives it a beautifully smooth, jewel-toned finish before it gets stirred together with fresh lemon juice and chilled sparkling water. The result is tart, lightly sweet, and refreshingly effervescent — nothing artificial, nothing hidden. A few raspberries and a lemon slice on the rim make it look like something you'd order at a fancy café, but it comes together right in your own kitchen with ingredients you can actually pronounce.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, water, and lemon zest in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries gently with the back of a spoon, until the berries have broken down and the syrup is slightly thickened, about 8–10 minutes.
Pour the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a heatproof bowl or measuring cup, pressing the solids firmly to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids. Let the strained syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until fully chilled, at least 30 minutes.
