Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until crispy, about 8–10 minutes. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate and set aside. Pour off all but about 1 tsp of the drippings, or wipe the skillet clean and add the neutral oil if you prefer a cleaner flavor.
In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, scallions, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined — do not overwork the meat. Divide into 4 equal portions and press each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick, making a slight indent in the center of each with your thumb to prevent doming.
