Few coffee drinks hit the way a properly made cappuccino does — that balance of bold espresso, silky steamed milk, and a thick cap of dense foam is genuinely hard to beat. The good news is that this classic café staple is naturally free from tree nuts at every step, built entirely from espresso and cold whole milk with nothing hidden in the mix. Café drinks can sometimes feel like a gamble when you're navigating allergen concerns, but making one at home puts you fully in control of every ingredient. The technique here is what makes it special: pulling a double shot with a rich amber crema, then steaming the milk to that glossy, velvety texture that pours like a dream. Getting the milk to 140–150°F and building it to roughly double its volume is the move that separates a great cappuccino from a mediocre one. Pre-warming the cup is a small step that makes a real difference, keeping everything at the right temperature from first sip to last. Once you nail the equal-thirds ratio of espresso, steamed milk, and foam, you'll have a hard time justifying the coffee shop line ever again.
