Few drinks hit the way a properly made cappuccino does — that balance of bold espresso, silky steamed milk, and a thick, cloud-like cap of foam is genuinely hard to beat. The process here is methodical but deeply satisfying, from tamping the portafilter to watching that deep amber crema bloom across the surface of the shot. Cold whole milk gets steamed to a glossy, velvety texture that's worlds away from anything you'd get from a coffee shop drive-through. The equal-thirds ratio of espresso, steamed milk, and foam is the classic standard for a reason — it keeps the coffee flavor front and center without letting the milk take over. With just two ingredients and a little technique, this is the kind of drink that makes staying home feel like a genuine luxury. Naturally free of any seafood or ocean-derived ingredients, there's nothing here to second-guess — just coffee and milk doing exactly what they're supposed to do.
