Few coffee drinks hit the way a properly made cappuccino does — that balance of bold espresso, silky steamed milk, and a thick crown of dense foam is genuinely hard to beat. What makes this version especially clean is how short the ingredient list is: just freshly ground espresso and cold whole milk, nothing else. No stabilizers, no emulsifiers, no additives hiding in a flavored syrup or a pre-packaged creamer — carrageenan simply has no place here. The technique does all the heavy lifting, from the firm, even tamp to the careful steam wand work that builds glossy, bubble-free microfoam without any shortcuts. Getting the milk to that 140–150°F sweet spot while swirling the pitcher is what separates a café-quality result from something flat and forgettable. Spooning that final layer of dense foam over the top gives you the classic equal-thirds structure that makes every sip taste a little different. It's the kind of drink that makes you wonder why you ever paid someone else to make it.
