Use a stick or block-style dairy-free butter - not a soft tub spread - and swap one-for-one.
1 cup plain breadcrumbs
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
¼ tsp fine sea salt
1 tbsp fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the foam subsides and the butter is fully liquid, about 1 minute.

Add the breadcrumbs and stir to coat evenly in the butter. Spread into an even layer and cook, stirring every 30–45 seconds, until the crumbs are deep golden and smell nutty, 5–7 minutes. Watch closely, as they can go from golden to burnt quickly.
