Soft, golden, and brushed with melted butter straight out of the oven, these dinner rolls are the kind of thing that disappears from the table before anything else does. The bread machine does all the heavy lifting — mixing, kneading, and the first rise — so you can focus on shaping and let the oven do the rest. Every ingredient here is straightforward pantry staple territory: flour, butter, egg, sugar, salt, yeast, and warm water. There's nothing hidden, nothing processed, and absolutely no seafood-derived additives to second-guess, which makes this a genuinely stress-free bake. The rolls bake up pillowy and pull-apart tender, with deep golden tops that look like they came from a bakery. That final butter brush while they're still hot takes them from great to completely irresistible. Whether you're serving them alongside a weeknight dinner or a holiday spread, these are the rolls people will ask you to make again.

Add the ingredients to the bread machine pan in the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer — typically liquids first. Add the warm water, softened butter, and egg, then add the flour, sugar, and salt. Make a small well in the center of the flour and add the yeast. Select the Dough cycle and press Start.
When the Dough cycle completes (typically 90 minutes, including kneading and the first rise), the dough should be smooth, slightly tacky, and roughly doubled in size. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
