The bread machine takes care of the hard part here, mixing and kneading a soft, yeasted dough enriched with egg until it rises into a pillowy, workable base. Once it's rolled out, a thick layer of brown sugar and cinnamon gets pressed in and rolled up tight, so every slice unfurls into those signature spiraled layers of sweet, spiced filling. They rise again in the pan until pillowy and touching, then bake up golden on top with soft, tender centers that spring back when you press them. A quick powdered sugar glaze gets whipped up while the rolls are still warm from the oven and poured over the top so it melts into every crevice. It's a cozy, from-scratch weekend bake, and it fits neatly into a dairy free kitchen without losing any of that classic cinnamon roll appeal.

Add the dough ingredients to the bread machine pan in the order recommended by your machine's manufacturer — typically liquids first (warm milk, warm water, beaten egg, softened butter), then dry ingredients (flour, granulated sugar, salt), with the yeast added last in a small well in the center of the flour so it doesn't contact the liquids before the cycle begins.
Select the Dough cycle and start the machine. The cycle will mix, knead, and allow the dough to rise until it has roughly doubled in size, about 1 hour 30 minutes depending on your machine.
