Pour 1/2 cup of the bone broth into the small saucepan and sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface. Let it sit undisturbed for 3 minutes until the gelatin has absorbed the liquid and the surface looks matte and slightly wrinkled.
Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of bone broth to the saucepan. Warm over medium-low heat, whisking constantly, until the gelatin is fully dissolved and the liquid is smooth with no visible granules, about 3–4 minutes. Do not let the mixture boil.
