This vibrant, fruit-forward cocktail is everything a warm-weather drink should be — bright, bubbly, and just a little bit fancy without requiring any bartending experience. A quick homemade berry syrup made from fresh or frozen mixed berries, sugar, and water forms the heart of the drink, giving it a deep jewel-toned color and a natural sweetness that store-bought mixes simply can't match. The combination of blanco tequila, freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, and a hit of lime keeps things tart and refreshing, while a pinch of salt rounds out every sip in the best possible way. Topping each glass with chilled sparkling water poured gently down the side preserves those satisfying bubbles all the way to the last drop. It comes together in minutes and looks absolutely stunning garnished with fresh berries and a citrus wedge — the kind of drink that makes guests think you spent way more effort than you actually did. Whether you're hosting a brunch or just treating yourself on a Tuesday, this is the kind of recipe that earns a permanent spot in your rotation.

Combine the berries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the berries break down and release their juices, about 4–5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
Press the berry mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a small bowl or jar, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. You should have about 3–4 tbsp of berry syrup.
