This vibrant, fruit-forward cocktail is everything a warm-weather drink should be — bright, bubbly, and just a little bit fancy without requiring a lot of effort. A quick homemade berry syrup made from fresh or frozen mixed berries gives the whole thing a gorgeous jewel-toned color and a natural sweetness that store-bought mixes simply can't match. Blanco tequila, fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice, and a splash of lime keep things crisp and citrusy, while a pinch of salt ties all the flavors together in the best way. For anyone avoiding capsaicin, this is the kind of cocktail that's easy to enjoy without a second thought — no spicy ingredients, no hidden heat, just clean and refreshing flavors from start to finish. The sparkling water gets poured gently down the side of the glass to keep every sip perfectly effervescent. Garnished with fresh berries and a citrus wedge, it looks stunning on a table and tastes even better than it looks. Make it for a weekend brunch, a backyard gathering, or honestly just a Tuesday when you deserve something special.

Combine the berries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the berries break down and release their juices, about 4–5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
Press the berry mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a small bowl or jar, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. You should have about 3–4 tbsp of berry syrup.
