Slow-braised brisket is the kind of meal that makes a whole house smell incredible, and this version delivers that deep, fall-apart tenderness with a braising liquid that's genuinely special. Unfiltered apple cider, bone broth, and a splash of apple cider vinegar create a sweet-tart base that soaks into every fiber of the meat as it cooks low and slow. A rub of turmeric and ginger gives the exterior a warm, golden crust after searing, and Ceylon cinnamon adds a subtle spice to the braise that feels cozy without being heavy. Every ingredient here is naturally grain-free, so there's no need to swap anything out or second-guess a label — the whole dish is built from whole foods from the start. The vegetables braise right alongside the brisket, soaking up all that cider-and-herb-scented liquid until they're silky and deeply savory. Whether you slice it clean against the grain or pull it into rustic chunks, this is the kind of centerpiece dish that earns serious compliments at the table.

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Pat the brisket completely dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine the salt, turmeric, and ginger, then rub the mixture evenly over all sides of the brisket.
Heat the coconut oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the brisket fat-side down and sear undisturbed for 4–5 minutes, until deep golden brown and releasing easily from the pot. Flip and sear the other side for 3–4 minutes until browned. Transfer the brisket to a plate and set aside.
