Slow-braised brisket is the kind of dish that fills the whole house with a smell so good people start wandering into the kitchen asking when dinner is ready. This version gets its depth from unfiltered apple cider, bone broth, and a touch of honey, all layered with warm spices like turmeric, ginger, and Ceylon cinnamon for a braise that tastes genuinely complex without being complicated. The brisket is seared hard in coconut oil first, building a golden crust that locks in richness before the whole pot goes low and slow in the oven for several hours. By the time it's done, the meat is fork-tender, the vegetables are silky, and the braising liquid has transformed into something you'll want to spoon over everything on the plate. Tree nut allergies can make rich, festive main dishes feel like a minefield, but every single ingredient here is naturally free of pecans and relies on pantry staples and fresh produce instead. Sliced against the grain and piled onto a platter with the glossy pan juices and a scatter of fresh parsley, this is the kind of centerpiece that looks like you spent all day on it — because honestly, you kind of did, and it was absolutely worth it.

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Pat the brisket completely dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine the salt, turmeric, and ginger, then rub the mixture evenly over all sides of the brisket.
Heat the coconut oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the brisket fat-side down and sear undisturbed for 4–5 minutes, until deep golden brown and releasing easily from the pot. Flip and sear the other side for 3–4 minutes until browned. Transfer the brisket to a plate and set aside.
