Store-bought mayonnaise and mayo-based sauces are made with pasteurized eggs, so they are generally fine during pregnancy.

Only large or medicinal amounts of horseradish are a concern in pregnancy. This recipe uses about 1/3 tsp per serving, which is a normal condiment amount.

Combine the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, horseradish, black pepper, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt in a mixing bowl. Add the cayenne, if using. Whisk until completely smooth and uniform.
Taste and adjust — add more vinegar for extra tang, more black pepper for heat, or a pinch of salt to balance. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving, until the flavors have melded and the sauce is well chilled.
