Pat the chicken wings thoroughly dry with paper towels. In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with the olive oil, baking powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each piece. Air fry at 400°F (205°C) for 12 minutes, then flip each wing and continue cooking for another 10–13 minutes, until the skin is deep golden and crisp and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a drumette reads 165°F (74°C).
