KFC gluten and fryers policy:

  • Please note that these menu items are still susceptible to gluten cross-contamination.

From KFC: “KFC products are fried in oil which may contain the following: Canola Oil and Hydrogenated Soybean Oil with TBHQ and Citric Acid Added To Protect Flavor, Dimethylpolysiloxane, an Antifoaming Agent Added OR Low Linolenic Soybean Oil, TBHQ and Citric Acid Added To Protect Flavor, Dimethylpolysiloxane, an Antifoaming Agent Added.”

KFC allergen policy:

From KFC: “Like most restaurants, we prepare and serve products that may contain egg, milk, soy, wheat or other allergens. While a particular ingredient may not contain one of these allergens, our products may be prepared on the same equipment and in the same kitchen area as those that do. We cannot guarantee that cross contact with allergens will not occur and neither KFC, our employees, or our franchisees assume any responsibility for a person’s sensitivity or allergy to any food item provided in our restaurants. The allergen information displayed on this site is based on standard product formulations and is current as of last update to this site. Variations may occur due to differences in suppliers, ingredient substitutions, recipe revisions, and/or product production at the restaurant.”

“No allergen or nutritional information on our website should be considered a guarantee, but simply a good faith effort to serve our customers.”

KFC vegan / vegetarian information:

KFC does not provide a vegan or vegetarian menu; however, you may use the Fig app to identify items that are likely vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and Alpha Gal friendly at KFC.

From KFC’s website: “All vegetarian ingredients are handled by our employees in common with meat ingredients, which may not be acceptable to certain types of vegetarian diets.”

Other helpful hints:

  • “Peanuts and tree nuts are not used at KFC. However, peanuts are present in the Reese’s® Peanut Butter Pie Slice and the Café Valley Bakery® Chocolate Chip Cake and Lemon Cake may contain traces of tree nuts.”

How to use Fig restaurants:

  • Fig shows you menu items that likely fit your Fig based on publicly available restaurant-reported ingredients and allergens. If a menu item says “please read note,” click the menu item to understand why the item may or may not fit your Fig.
  • Fig does not yet take cross-contamination into account. Please always confirm ingredient and allergen information with the restaurant, and always work with the restaurant manager and staff to determine if a menu item is appropriate for you. Restaurants regularly change ingredients, allergen information, procedures, food sourcing and management.
  • Fig restaurants is still an early feature, and your feedback helps us make it better. If you have any ideas for us, please send them to support@foodisgood.com. We’ll also be sending you a few surveys as you use it!
