Mungbean is low or high FODMAP depending on serving size. Boiled mung beans can be a healthy vegetarian protein source on a low FODMAP diet, however the portion size needs to be limited. Most pulses are high FODMAP, but boiling or canning can help to reduce their FODMAP content. Canned or boiled pulses should be rinsed prior to eating and the canning or cooking water discarded.
