Is ethanol low FODMAP?
Ethanol has not been tested for FODMAPs. However, Ethanol is thought to be low FODMAP. Many types of alcohol are low FODMAP including beer, red and white wine, gin, vodka, and whiskey. Other alcohols including rum and sherry are high FODMAP. Alcohol, however, is a GI irritant and portions should generally be limited.
